A Founding Story
Serenity Moving Services – Peace of Mind One Move at a Time.
We started back in 2012 as a family-owned moving company right here in Norman, Oklahoma. Our founder had this big dream – He’d saved up and bought his first truck and some equipment, and he knew it was going to be tough but he was driven to make something better.
At first, our founder was working out of his spare bedroom office. He’d get up late at night and work on building the foundation of Serenity Moving Services – one late night at a time. He still gets a kick out of the little photos his daughter Serenity took with her camera, of him sat at the desk, surrounded by paperwork, truck keys and all his dreams. It’s amazing to think just how far we’ve come – from that tiny office to serving thousands of families across Oklahoma.

Those early days were tough: working two jobs, servicing every move possible, late nights trying to figure out websites and Google Ads with no budget to speak of. There were breakdowns, equipment failures & mishaps along the way but we stuck to one main principle: do the best work possible every single time. From one customer to the next, we built our reputation on trust and quality – and people actually wanted to come back and get help with their moving needs.

Our motto, “Peace of Mind One Move at a Time,” has always been at the heart of who we are. While some companies just go through the motions and wonder why customers don’t come back, we’ve focused on giving the absolute best service we can. By 2015 we were finally on stable ground – we could focus on growth and expanding. From one man and one truck, we now have a team of 14 dedicated employees and handle over 1,600 moves a year with a well-maintained fleet of trucks. Today, we’re the go-to moving company for Oklahoma City, Norman and beyond, offering local and long-distance moves with the expertise and TLC that sets us apart.
