Moving out during a divorce or separation is one of the hardest moves there is. It usually comes with a deadline, a tight budget, and more emotion than any ordinary moving day. Our job is simple: handle the logistics quietly and professionally, so one hard day gets a little easier.
Serenity Moving Services has helped Oklahoma families through separation moves for over a decade — local moves in Norman, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, and across the metro, and long-distance moves when one household is leaving the state. Here is how we make these moves work.
Itemized Inventories — Documentation You Can Actually Use
Every Serenity move comes with an itemized quote, and for separation moves that paperwork matters more than usual. Each item we move is listed, and every charge is broken out line by line — so there is a clear record of what moved, where it went, and what it cost. If your attorney or mediator needs documentation of the move, you will already have it.
No hourly guesswork, no vague totals. Your price is confirmed before we load, and the invoice matches the quote.
A Neutral, Professional Crew
On a tense day, who shows up matters. Our movers are full-time, background-checked professionals — not day labor, and not anybody’s buddies. We arrive on time, work efficiently, stay out of the middle, and treat both households with the same respect. We are there to move belongings, period.
One Household, Two Destinations
Separation moves often split one home into two. We handle split-destination moves routinely: one origin, two drop-offs, with a separate itemized inventory for each destination. If each party is paying for their own portion, we can price and invoice the two halves separately — one truck, one day, two clean records.
When a separation also means downsizing out of a long-held family home — increasingly common for couples over fifty — our senior moving service brings the same gentle downsizing help to either household.
On Your Timeline — Even When the Timeline Is Short
Court dates, lease start dates, and agreements that say “by the end of the month” do not wait. We regularly schedule moves within days, and same-day service is available when the calendar allows. Tell us the deadline and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it — and then we will hit it.
Discretion, Start to Finish
We show up, we work, and we keep whatever we see and hear to ourselves. Your business stays your business. If you prefer we coordinate with only one party, with a family member, or through your attorney’s office, we are used to being flexible about who we talk to and when.
What It Costs
The same published, upfront pricing we offer every customer. Moves start at $175 in the Norman area (area minimums vary by city — $265 in Moore, $300 in Oklahoma City and Edmond). A one-bedroom apartment move typically runs $265–500; larger homes are quoted by inventory, itemized before we load anything. Packing help can be added to either side of the move, and labor-only loading and unloading is available from $75 per mover per hour.
Nothing about your situation changes the price — our quotes are built from the inventory and the route, and they are confirmed in writing before moving day.
A Note on What We Are Not
We are movers, not lawyers — nothing on this page is legal advice. What belongings go where is between you, your spouse, and your attorneys or mediator. Our advice is practical: get the destination list agreed in writing before moving day, and let our itemized inventory serve as the record of what actually moved. If there is a protective order or a supervised move-out involved, let us know when you book so we can schedule accordingly.
